Up At Dawn started with the vision of an ER nurse and today is proudly carried on by three best friends in Honolulu, Hawaiʻi.
When the opportunity came to continue what another nurse had built, we knew it was something worth saying yes to. We wanted to honor where Up At Dawn began while helping it grow, staying true to the heart of the brand along the way.
Inspired by healthcare, island life, and everyday moments, we create compression socks that are as comfortable as they are fun to wear.
Every order is packed with care by our small team in Honolulu. From answering emails to designing new collections and packing every order ourselves, we're involved in every step.

Meet The Team
We're three best friends and nurses from Honolulu, Hawaiʻi, grateful for the opportunity to continue the story of Up At Dawn. When we're not caring for patients, we're answering emails, designing new collections, packing orders, and growing our little business together.

Born and raised in Hawaiʻi, she first discovered Up At Dawn as a customer before becoming one of its owners. She loves creating thoughtful experiences for our community and making every order feel personal. When she's not working, she's spending time with family and friends, traveling, reading, or hanging out with her pup, Ollie.

Always on the go, she enjoys spending time with family, traveling whenever she can, and discovering great places to eat. At Up At Dawn, she loves helping shape new collections and creating products that help people feel comfortable, supported, and confident.

She first joined Up At Dawn as one of the brand's ambassadors before becoming one of its owners. Outside of work, she enjoys staying active, chasing beautiful sunrises and sunsets, traveling, and finding joy in life's everyday moments. She brings that same appreciation for adventure, balance, and the little things into everything she does at Up At Dawn.
Where It All Began
Up At Dawn was founded in 2019 by ER nurse Tesla Teitge Mergenthaler with a simple mission: to create compression socks that support people through long days on their feet.
When the opportunity came to continue the brand, we felt honored to carry that mission forward while writing the next chapter of Up At Dawn. We're proud to continue the legacy Tesla started by staying true to the values that have always made Up At Dawn feel special: community, comfort, and care.
